I have lived in Portland all of my life. I have over 15 years of experience mentoring women as they walk through relationships, marriages, and raising children. I have also worked with families and children within the foster system through Royal Family Kids' Camps. As a foster/adoptive parent myself, I have gained experience in how trauma can impact our lives.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from George Fox University in Social and Behavioral Studies, and went on to earn a Masters of Counseling from Multnomah University. My training focused on integrating attachment-based theory when working with children, women, and families.

I strive to understand my clients in the context of their psychological, physical, and spiritual background. For many, faith is an important part of life, and it should be no less so in counseling. You deserve to have a safe place where your faith and family values will be honored. I personally operate from a Christian worldview and I am happy to incorporate this into our counseling sessions at your request.

I use a variety of experiential and expressive therapies; including Family Systems, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness. At times I will utilize tools from Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy to help clients with a specific area. I also have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
